Twin Falls, ID - American Pit Bull Terrier. Meet Petunia mini-pittie Mae a Pet for Adoption - AdoptaPet.com (2024)

This pretty itty bitty pittie is Petunia Mae! This sweet girl is a dog’s dog to her core, she’s a playful bundle of love with a calm demeanor. She’s a caring, loving companion to all of her friends, regardless of species, size or age.

We suspect Petunia Mae to be a pittie mix, around 1 year old, however, she is a rescue so her exact age and breed cannot be guaranteed!

Fall in love with Petunia here: https://youtu.be/oA3h5pWVGhg?si=NB8IFAZ9iKlTSYYx

Petunia Mae has learned a lot since arriving at our rescue, she’s learning to walk on leash, and how to enjoy her own private bedroom- her kennel. She’s a fast-learner and has made a lot of progress very quickly. She’s great in her kennel these days, waiting patiently for her next adventure, taking long naps and just observing the world around her without reaction.

Petunia is a sweet and affectionate girl, she’ll lure you in with her big pretty “pet me please” eyes, then she’ll lean into you for pets, and give you big kisses on your face. She opens up with people far faster when another dog is present, she wants the canine-to-canine reassurance. We joke that Petunia Mae needs her own Emotional Support Dog, and we hope that she’ll be one of multiple dogs in your home.

Petunia is great with other dogs and cats. She’s a bit of a caretaker and dog-watcher when she plays in groups of dogs. She reads the energy of the group well, and makes sure that everyone is included in the fun. When not engaging with the other dogs while playing outside, Petunia has the sweetest, silliest zoomies! See for yourself in her video. She’s not overly interested in engaging with cats in any manner, she gives them plenty of space and doesn’t seem to have many feelings about them at all. She’d do great in any animal-lovers home!

Petunia would do best in a multiple-dog household, but she’s not too picky about anything else! If you’re looking for a little-big-dog with a sweet, calm personality, but enough energy to accompany you on long walks and days out, Petunia is your girl. If you’re looking for a smart, respectful and caring girl that’s easy to integrate into your “pack,” Petunia Mae is the dog you’ve been looking for. Apply to adopt Petunia today!

We are willing to test this dog with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know.

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties?

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it!

Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!

It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks:

• 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.)
• A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week)
• One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan
• 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan
• Coupons for a fun visit to Petco
• Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!

We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
