good morning to you. much of the downtown area right now is still under a boil order advisory with little to no water in some places. one of the most frustrating things for businesses and residents here is they have no clue how long they'll have to remain under the state of emergency. take a look at some of these images of the water main breaks that triggered these issues. officials were saying that they're waiting for a part to arrive in order to fix one of the main areas. in the meantime, though, they're handing out cases of water and setting up temporary places where people can use the bathroom. these main breaks have disrupted everything in parts of the downtown area this weekend, forcing many businesses and major city attractions to close. a megan thee stallion concert was canceled two nights in a row and there were reports that one of the hospitals here had to temporarily reroute ambulance traffic to other locations. city officials are apologizing but blaming aging infrastructure for the issues and say they're

7:08 am

and almost half thinks he should drop out tells you something about the political damage that trump faces. most republicans are backing trump, but it was striking to me in this poll to see about 16% of republicans say that this verdict was correct and say he should drop out. those are big, big numbers. but this has divided the country like so many other issues before it. >> big, big numbers, rick. but these numbers change when you look at americans who view trump and biden unfavorably. it's very interesting. >> this is a big headline out of the poll. when you drill down, you see 65% of the people that dislike both candidates were calling them double haters in this race think the verdict was correct. 67% think that trump should end the campaign. why is that a big deal? we have an election that has two candidates who are so historically disliked. this group of voters might decide this election. they might be as much as 20% of the country. for them to come out this

7:09 am

strongly and feel like the verdict was correct and trump deserves punishment and trump should drop out of the race, that tells you something about the mindset of voters like this. some of them may not vote at all. some may decide to go for a third party candidate, some might come back in with a trump fold when faced with trump versus biden. but that's a big split, to see 2/3 of voters that dislike them both agree on that is really something. >> at the end oh of the day, did the trial hurt trump and help biden in any substantial way? >> not in these numbers, no, gio. the perceptions of these men are so big -- that they are just as popular -- or i should say unpopular as they have always been. that hasn't changed as a result of this. trump is no worse for the wear, and biden doesn't look any better. i think this is interesting, as well. 47% of voters in this survey say that these charges were politically motivated. now, of course, people can think that it's politically motivated
